I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus over the past few months and this brief newsletter will cover a few of the projects my team has been working on, and serve as a preview of some of the content I’ll be sharing about my journey to write the definitive playbook for tech apprenticeships. It’s been a wild ride, but I am finally able to come up for air and share progress.

My team built a pre-apprenticeship for software engineering which is currently in beta. The program is designed to be complete fully online, remote, asynchronously with some synchronous daily and weekly group activities. It’s been a long time in the making, but it leverages a custom built learning management system and of course our signature mastery based curriculum. More to come on this as we increase access and deploy to multiple cities across the US.
My team built and got approval for a Department of Defense SkillBridge program. Creating Coding Careers can now serve Americas Finest by supporting transitioning service members. You can read more about our program here: https://cccareers.org/skillbridge
Our efforts and the lessons learned along the way are numerous. Next week I’ll start detailing more of the successes, and the struggles/failures so that you can be ready to avoid these pitfalls.
